Worksheet:

Available in the book, “The Basic Math of Algebra, Book 3 of Doodles Do Algebra“

Today we start learning how to multiply polynomials that include negative quantities. We take the basic mechanics that your child learned last week and add the concept of negative and positives. The concepts to recall are negative times a negative is a positive and negative times a positive is a negative.

Problem 1. The first problem is worked through for you to show your child how to do the multiplication. It is actually the same problem type that DoodleTwo worked through for your child in lesson 51, only with negatives. This is done to ease your child into each new concept. The ideal result is that your child learns algebra without any major troubles and the foolproof way to ensuring that with any child is babysteps. So we babystep our way through algebra with cartoons and fun dialog and plenty of space for coloring and doodling.

Problem 2.$-8bc+12bd+2ac-3ad$
