# Lesson 79 – Doodles Do Algebra

Update: This Lesson Is Part of Book 3 of Doodles Do Algebra: “The Basic Math of Algebra” available on Amazon.

Worksheet:

Available in the book, “The Basic Math of Algebra, Book 3 of Doodles Do Algebra“

Today your child practices some more. By now she should be getting the process down fairly well.

1. $a^2-6a+9$

2. $2a^2+3ax+x^2$

3. $x^3+x^2y+xy^2+y^3$

If you are watching the problems we choose to do carefully you see that once your child starts to learn about factoring he will already be familiar with some of the princples just by virtue of having done long division with these combinations.

Given that, your child will start in on learning some theorems next week.

Have a great weekend! This was the most challenging set of lessons yet. If you and your child are following along still, it is downhill from here! And if your kid got a little lost, don’t worry we will review it again in the future. My own kids needed a number of weeks on this concept, but mostly because I was still trying to figure out how to explain it easily. Hopefully the long division algebra waltz works for you as well as it did for us!
