Lesson 82 – Doodles Do Algebra

lesson82doodlepoodlecIf your child is having trouble understanding the theorems, you can give numerical examples by showing him that if you choose some numbers for the variables, say ‘a’ as 2 and ‘b’ as 3, then you can work out each side of the equation and get the same answer. That is a rough kind of a way of showing that the theorem holds true and brings the exercise in understanding back into the realm of numbers, where your child is possibly more comfortable.
